RE-Magazine #23: It’s Spring Two Thousand Seven
The cult publication RE-Magazine was founded by graphical designer Jop Van Bennekom in 1997 as a part of his design study. Re-Magazine (1997-2004) was not a normal magazine, though a new vision on the medium itself. It was a magazine with fragmented information and images between which the readers had to make their own connections. The topic of the magazine was the everyday trivial reality. This as a comment on the abundance of glossy media images that continuously infiltrate our daily lives. The initiator, Jop Van Bennekom, was responsible for the design and was editor-in-chief at the same time, causing contents and design to fully integrate.
