All the categories explored by Closky cannot be gathered under the umbrella of a single, recurring obsession. This has been observed and emphasized many times; however, one must still recognize taxonomy's primary role in his research. Yet, it should be regarded as closely linked to another existential and lasting concern: the fear of inactivity, the need to respond to external stimuli, and the habit of shifting from one means of expression to another to preserve the ability to react quickly and effectively.
